Detailed item info

Product Information
The Konica Minolta Maxxum Autofocus 24-50 mm F/4.0 lens was produced in the mid-1980s in Japan, in conjunction with Konica (who eventually merged and took Minolta over). It is made for full frame and film or digital devices and it is a wide angle auto and manual focus lens, suitable for sharp architecture or landscape photography. The Minolta AF’s 24-50mmm focal length can also be useful for taking a variety of portraits. Its best features though are its speed and ability to let light in; it’s more ideal for street photography and getting the details crisp with sharpness on the shot from side to side, rather than just focusing on a face. It could be a flexible accessory to pack in your kit when you are travelling and doing a variety of shots. It will work for both digital and film cameras of the era from Minolta. You can also use any filter that you have for any a-mount lenses. The Minolta Maxxum is a rotary zoom, which is easy to use and focus, taking high quality pictures at a minimum distance; as close as about twelve inches away. The autofocus works extremely smoothly on this Minolta AF and delivers on sharpness. It has a constant fast aperture of F/4, which is nice and wide, allowing in plenty of light for evening and indoor shoots. The minimum aperture setting is f/22. There is some possibility of getting bokeh around the subject but that’s not really for what it was made. Manual focusing takes just over 1/3 turn from close-in to infinity. The filter ring extends and rotates as you focus by hand and it has a steady, sturdy feel. It has a focal distance window, along with four red infra-red focus index marks at 50mm, 35mm, 28mm, and 24mm. When you turn the camera on, after mounting the lens, you hear a clap sound, reassuring you that the camera focus motor has tugged through to the screws and achieved proper coupling. You are ready to shoot. It is also important to note that these lenses don’t have the image stabilization of recent optical accessories, so a tripod is a good idea for landscapes, sunsets and portraits, especially if panning. Some good camera holding techniques will help you get some nice street photography with this lens. The Minolta AF f/4lenses are multi-coated and have the typical older-style magenta cast with a black satin finish. They measure 2.7 inches in diameter (50mm long) and weighs 10.09 oz. so don’t take up too much space in your kit. They are meticulously made and feel sturdy in your hands whether you are on manual or autofocus. This zoom optical devices delivers on sharpness for wide architectural or landscape shots, This Minolta AF f/4 24-25mm lens is a sharp and fast autofocus model that can work with both 35mm and DSLR devices. It’s an ideal multipurpose wide lens for taking professional quality photos of home interiors, real estate advertisements and streetscapes, and it can be adapted for shooting other options, such as portraits or flowers.
